General Info

Tired of the dating apps? Silly Sports has the solution: a 3-week cornhole speed dating league!

Overall: each league night, you will play one hour of cornhole against teams of the opposite gender. Every 10 minutes we will rotate so, over the course of an hour, you will be standing next to (i.e. speed date) 6 people of the opposite gender while playing cornhole (the activity is intended to create a more casual, relaxed environment while meeting new people). After your hour of scheduled play, everyone is encouraged to hangout by the bar and get to know anyone you're interested in more. Each of the first 2 weeks, you will play against a different groups of girls/guys meaning you'll never have a repeat "date". Week 3 (the final week), we will have a happy hour / party so you can circle back with anyone you fancy but didn't get a chance to exchange numbers with. We do everything in our power to make this feel as relaxed and low pressure as possible while providing quality opportunities to meet a bunch of potential lovers. Our leagues have resulted in countless dates! We are still less than a year old as a company so no weddings yet but maybe you'll be the first ;)

Start Date: Wednesday April 9th, 2025
Time: League runs from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Wednesday nights, with one hour of playing time each night.
End Date: Wednesday April 23rd, 2025

Attendance: if you can't come on a given night, find a friend to fill in for you!

This league is for single straight young adults aged 25-35 in Portland. Meet eligible bachelors and bachelorettes while enjoying a lighthearted and competitive environment!

Structure of League

The cornhole speed dating format keeps the night exciting and social:

Each hour, you will play 6 mini games, 10 minutes each, against different opponents.
Women rotate to the board across the way every 10 minutes, while men rotate to a new board every 20 minutes.
By the end of your hour, you’ll have met 6 new people for 10 minutes each.

We aim to mix up the matches each week, so you meet as many new people as possible throughout the league.

Group Chat Bonus: Each league night will feature a GroupMe message for participants, making it easy to slide into the DMs of someone you fancy or set up a date!

Refund & Sub Policy

Full refund available if cancelled 5+ days before the first event
50% refund if cancelled 3-5 days before the first event
No refunds within 48 hours of the event - our league hosts work hard to make sure the schedules are set before week 1, and last-minute cancellations impacts our ability to provide the best experience for everyone!!

Why This Policy Matters: Our leagues and events are curated with an equal number of men and women. Last-minute cancellations impact the schedule and our ability to give our attendees a timely update, which is why we maintain a 48-hour policy for cancellations!

Sub Policy .. Can't make it on a certain week?

Option #1: Find a single friend to fill your spot
Option #2: Find another person in the league to fill your spot
Option #3: If you can't find a sub, please reach out to your league host!

Note: If you need to miss an individual week and can't find a sub, please give your league host at least 24 hours notice! No-shows severly impact the quality of the league, and will result in a $10 penalty. If you can't make it, just please give us enough heads up so we can find subs and adjust the schedule!!!
