VOLLEYBALL PLAYER GUIDE

🤠 Each week, you’ll be scheduled for one hour of play.

🚀 Within that hour, play three 6v6 games to 15 points (no win by 2)!

🤪 Your team of 6 will rotate for every game, so you meet & play with almost everyone on your court 🎉

🍻 Feel free to come early, hang late, or jump into another game at your level if real-time subs are needed.

THE DETAILS

  • Scheduling 📧

    You’ll receive an email each week, asking you to let us know if you can't be there.

    If we don't hear from you, you're in! You'll be added to the schedule with an assigned Court #, start time, and team.

  • GroupMe 🥳

    Every league has it’s own chat to talk live! We use GroupMe, which you can access via your computer or mobile app.

    Your Host will use this chat to keep you informed on live updates, and all fun stuff! 🍻

  • Skill Level 🎯

    Each week, we’ll send a quick, optional survey to ask if you liked playing at your level 😎

    Each week we'll move things around to help keep matchups fresh, fun, and fair!

🏐 Scoring

  • Rally scoring: every rally is a point, no matter who served.
  • Games are capped at 15 points (no win by 2).
  • We have a hard stop at the hour mark ⏰ 

✋ Serving

  • You can serve overhand or underhand 💪
  • Serve from behind the end line ✅ *Beginners: feel free to attempt 2 serves or move up. Just have fun!

🤝 Players

  • We play 6v6 games, so 6 players per team on the court.
  • If we have no-shows, anyone at that level is welcome to sub in, or you can modify to play 4v4, 5v5, etc. 🙂 

VOLLEYBALL ROTATION

🔄 How to Rotate

  • Rotate clockwise when your team wins the serve back!
  • If your team served, and wins the rally, the same server continues serving.
  • If the other team served at you, and your team wins the rally, then rotate clockwise and a new server serves.
  • For our Advanced courts: enjoy 6-2 or 5-1 rotations if preferred. Majority rules 🥳
