FAQs - Colorado Springs Pickleball Leagues
Do I need to already have a partner or team to sign up?
Nope! Most people sign up solo. Our leagues are designed for individual sign-ups, and partners rotate throughout the night, so you get to play with different people.
You are welcome to sign up with a friend, but you will still be placed into the league as an individual. The format mixes things up on purpose 🙂
How competitive are the leagues?
Only if you want it to be. Our goal is fun first, with plenty of rallies, laughs, and good games along the way. If you have a competitive streak, you will end up playing with others who bring that same energy. If not, no worries, there is plenty of room for relaxed, social play too.
What if I am brand new or have only played a few times?
Totally fine. Beginners are a big part of our community.
Our leagues are built for players at every stage of their pickleball journey. We ease new players in, explain how everything works, and let the ladder format help you find the right level naturally. If you are brand new, you will get plenty of chances to play and practice without feeling overwhelmed.
What is your cancellation or refund policy if my plans change?
League spots are limited, so we typically do not offer refunds once a season starts. That said, life happens.
If you need to miss a week, you can RSVP ahead of time so you are not scheduled. In many cases, you can also arrange for a substitute.
What makes Silly Pickles different from open play or drop-in games?
The biggest difference is that everything is organized for you. You are not waiting on the sidelines, guessing who you are playing with, or jumping into wildly mismatched games. Each week is organized, partners rotate, and players are grouped by level. It is still social and relaxed, just without the chaos.
How does the ladder format work?
Each week, you are grouped with three other players around your current level and play short games with rotating partners. There is no single “make or break” match.
At the end of the night, scores are used simply to help us adjust groups for the following week. Some weeks you might move, some weeks you might not, and that is completely normal. The goal is not climbing as fast as possible, but finding the level where games feel fun, competitive, and comfortable.
What ages can play?
If you’re 18 or older and looking for an excuse to be active and social, this is it.
